“Breaking Dawn,” Stephanie Meyer’s fourth and final book in her forbidden love vampire series, was released early this month.
For those who have yet to enter the “Twilight,” here’s a little background.
First, the story takes place HERE. No, not Yakima, but close enough in Forks, Wash., located on the Olympic Peninsula.
Bella, the heroine, is an awkward, accident-prone girl who’s not quite comfortable in her own skin. Edward, her love interest, is not your typical teenage vampire. He’s pale, gorgeous and has good morals. Then, there’s Jacob, a teenage werewolf who’s infatuated with Bella.
In “Breaking Dawn,” Bella has finally managed to cure herself of her case of cold feet. She’s accepted the consequences that come along with marrying a gorgeous vampire.
The book kicks off with Bella and Edward’s engagement. Bella has grown even more attached to her soon-to-be vampire in-laws. And the Cullens gracefully welcome her into their family.
Meyer intertwines the wedding, a vampire reunion, sour farewells and new beginnings in 747 pages. And the grand finale is everything it was meant to be.
The entire series quenches readers’ thirst for action (there’s blood and gore), love (don’t worry, it’s decent) and fantasy (vampires and werewolves, for example).
But stay tuned. It’s not over yet: “Twilight” the movie is due in theaters Dec. 12.
