Unleashed is now accepting applications for spots on the 2010-2011 team.

Here’s the list of participating high schools and school districts — and the number of positions available for each one:

• Naches Valley — one

• Wahluke — one

• Sunnyside — one

• Toppenish — one

• White Swan — one

• Zillah — one

• La Salle — one

• Riverside Christian — one

The first team meeting of the 2010-2011 Unleashed team will take place in September 2010.

The award-winning teen journalism program, about to begin its twelfth year, had ended in February, 2009, due to budget cuts at the newspaper. It was revived in September 2009, thanks to the cooperative formed by the newspaper and ESD 105.

Now, Unleashed is published every other Sunday in the Herald-Republic.
