An early morning drive-by shooting of a 16-year-old boy threw much of the Toppenish School District into lock-down mode Thursday morning.
“This is the first time that there’s been a shooting in close proximity of our schools that I know of,” said Toppenish superintendent Steve Myers. “And I’ve been here a long time, about 25 years.” Read more
